This is me

Lenja Rother
I’m Lenja Rother – a consultant, process facilitator and coach. My journey has taken me from the shipyard to management consulting and, ultimately, to working independently. What has stayed with me is my fascination with complex systems, my commitment to quality work and my belief that change is possible when the right conditions are in place.
I think analytically, take a systemic approach and am not afraid of complexity. I immerse myself in a wide range of contexts, from the workshop floor to government ministries, from foundations to small and medium-sized businesses.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me sailing, dancing tango, practising yoga or playing the piano … always happy to discover a new horizon.

My Philosophy
That's what I stand for.
Clarity
With foresight, I bring structure to complex situations and separate the essential from the non-essential. I express what I perceive with appreciation and mindfulness.
On Equal Terms
I want to treat all people with the same respect. Mutual recognition is, for me, a fundamental prerequisite for good cooperation, across hierarchies and perceived differences.
Feminism
My feminism is intersectional and with conscious leadership I strengthen FLINTA* in all areas of life: in my work, on board, in coaching and in everyday life - to the best of my knowledge and with the desire to learn more.
Sustainability
I live as sustainably as I can (e.g., in terms of consumption, mobility, diet, and financial matters) without striving for perfection. Because I want our planet to remain a livable place for everyone in the future.

Body Rhythm Festival
I've been part of the team since 2019, and since 2024 I've been a co-producer of the Body Rhythm Festival. Here, your own body becomes an instrument, with beats, sounds, and the unifying energy that arises when people make music together.
Every year in Hamburg, with three concerts, approximately 60 workshops and an intercultural line-up of 10 artists, we create this vibrant space for international cultural exchange.
What drives us: the conviction that music and movement can connect people, even if they do not speak a common language.
